One of my guinea pig is a very fat and the other two are very healthy weights. Last time she was checked at the vets, she was 1200 grams. She had been on a diet but and we think she has lost a little bit of weight but are there any more ideas on how she could loose weight? She and her sisters share two small handfuls of pellets everyday, some hay and umlimited grass as they have a run. We do not want the other two to get to thin as well as one of them needs to eat eat enough food as she was once terribly under weight.

I thought that was a healthy weight for guinea pigs? As my one boys weight 1225g and the other 1300g. I was told that was a healthy weight for them and i weigh weekly and keep notes of there weight.
Like humans we are all shapes and sizing and guess that goes for piggys too, as some can bigger than others. :p

Thank you, since it is winter they probably need fat anyway.

Thank you that really helped, it really is hard to refuse them when they climb up on the bars and beg for food! She runs around a lot. When we got her she was tiny, so it is probably good now that she is putting on weight.
