Tomorrow we are off on our holidays to the Isle of Wight for a fortnight
So today Jack and Charlie have packed their little guinea pigs suitcases for a fortnight with our neighbours!
Usually when we go for a few days, our neighbour pops round and feeds them, but as she will need to clean them out she suggested they move round to her house this time. So my OH and I have carried their big two storey hutch round to the neighbours' garden, plus their run, sawdust, hay, food and a bag of left over veg! They have more luggage than us
I'll miss the little beasts, but they'll be fine. My neighbour has a piggie of her own, so she knows what she's doing with them, and as they will be in their own hutch, I guess they won't really notice the difference.
As she has a boar as well, she is keeping her boy inside (he is an indoor piggie) and our two in the garden. I am just slightly concerned that if my boys smell another boy, for instance when they are all out in their runs, could this lead to my boys falling out with each other? They are brothers and have been bonded from birth, with no problems at all. But they won't all be in the same run (obviously) so I guess it will be fine.
