Although piggies are indoors over winter I am considering this summer for ease of getting them to their outdoor runs in buying a pig shed either for their hutches or some free roaming space. I am not sure if there is threads already with peoples pictures but just wondered if people would be willing to share their ideas for this summer if they are doing the same or pictures if they already have a piggie shed. :)

OOh a shed thread :D
Anyway - The ramp on the side is removable and underneath is where the girlies poop tray. The little house blocks off the little door which leads to a ramp that goes outside!

Again removable which leads to a corridor where 3 piggies mainly hang out! The top is usually where Patch lives when she wants to get away from the others! Again removable :D

Just an birds eye view

So once you remove the roof - there's the winter snug and you can see Pecan Pie.

Bedding wise - loads of hay! and the OH created the shed :)
Plenty of room for them to run around and also where I store all the hay can be moved for a big floor time

love the ideas :luv: might have to bribe my hubby

Wow that looks fab I love the idea of having a cosy snug too in wood but with the igloo bed thing, will definitely have to do that

Oh wow it looks so organised and neat. I am looking forward to being able to pack things away rather than things scattered everywhere.

Ohh this thread is just what I need - I have a large shed which I am hoping to convert for the boy pigs this summer..

Piggingham Palace is an 8x8ft summerhouse. It has curtains at the front and now at the back too. The ones at the back are just on curtain wire for the winter then I will take them down when it gets warm again. The fabric across the ceiling is on curtain wire and will come down in summer too. The hutches are 5 and a half ft by 2 ft. Bottom floor dining/living area. Middle floor landing and bedroom. Top floor sun terrace all open mesh and at the same height as the windows.

They like sunbathing

When I open the bottom doors they can come out and run around on the floor. Tara especially likes to go exploring and have a chat through the wire with the neighbours.

Summer right now where I am! My guinea pigs are in now, but they don't have a cage, they live in a hutch/run. If you're looking at buying one, I recommend one like mine, they're great!
