my guinea pigs have lice, and I don't want to use chemicals.
I was wondering if I can rub Diatomaceous Earth into hair,
or is it poisonous for them?

I would recommend using a specifically designed product such as lice and easy as then you can guarantee you will be using a safe product while treating the infestation

ok, thank you so much!
that was really helpful.
do i need to wash it off afterwards?

But will it irritate their skin?

Hi! Please see a vet for diagnosis and treatment.

We do not support home treatment on spec with products that are not suitable or too weak.
By undertreating you will only prolong the suffering and not help your piggies at all with your concerns; the same goes for home diangosing.

Neither ivermectin (xeno) nor lice'n'easy shampoo is detrimental for the skin.

Hello and welcome. Get them to a vet for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Hope to see pics of them soon
