Hi all,

Me again unfortunately!

Kiki had recurrent abscesses for most of last year (May to early December, finally all sorted now) with an ear infection in between.

I went in to check on her just now and she was more insistent on loafing than usual - I took her out of the cage and she was exactly the same way, not really willing to move around much, and also reluctant to put any pressure on her front left paw.

I observed her for a while, she had some lettuce more than happily, then gave her some Metacam in case this was pain related (0.3ml of dog Metacam - she's 1.1kg). I had a look at her front paws and both of them look fine, but she was reluctant to have me touching the left one at certain points.

Upon putting her back in the cage, she was more willing to move around, but very clearly limping - again not willing to put any weight on her front left paw.

I'm going to keep an eye on her to make sure nothing deteriorates and then get her to the vet tomorrow if needed, but is anyone able to let me know what this is likely to be and whether it's something I should be booking an emergency appointment for rather than leaving it until tomorrow?

Many thanks in advance

Sorry that Kiki is causing you more worry.
If there’s nothing obviously wrong with her foot then a vet trip tomorrow will be fine.
Hopefully it’s nothing to worry about
