Guinea pig limping

@Wiebke do you think I should be seeing an improvement in cheeses leg?

In my experience, a more serious sprain can take several weeks to heal.

I've had sows who struggled 3-6 weeks with theirs and kept limping throughout that time, especially when they aggravated the sprain again once it was nearly settled.

Thanks, I'm guessing it is a more serious sprain.I'm hoping Simon/Kim will up her metacam dose to make her more comfortable.

Just be patient - as long as your piggy is still moving around and keeping up with a normal life, you need not worry. It just takes its due time.

She has been moving around a lot since she hurt it but today she's hardly moved from her carrot cottage. She enjoyed some dill today but wasn't as interested in her lettuce like she normally is.

Place her by the hay and observe whether it is a mobility issue (aggravated sprain) or something else.
A sprain doesn't cause loss of appetite.

She's actually sitting on a big load of hay, I removed their loft which I usually put their hay in.The carrot cottage is on top of the big pile of hay.
