I had no idea when we bought our first piggy for my friends daughter, that you could love these little angels so much... That was five years ago, when we bought Brittney... We had bought her from a pet store, and to be honest... she was kinda not too nice... Of course, we bought Brittney and got three more piggies for free... SURPRISE! And you wanna talk about not having any experience! Some how, we managed to get through that... We kept one mini-pig, but we had to return the other two to the pet store. The baby we kept was Chestnut... We called him our dog... :)

Sadly, last week Chestnut passed away. He was five years old. He is SO missed... :'(

Thanks to Chestnut and his wonderful, fluffy, ball of love self that he was, we are now completely smitten with piggies. We have the Presley family right now. Elvis, Prescilla and Lisa Marie. Prescilla is currently expecting.. Elvis is the daddy... I'll post some pics of those little angels shortly. Unlike the last time that we had a piggy who was preggers, we are going to be keeping each and every one of those babies! :smitten:

I feel so sorry for people who don't know, or don't understand how wonderful piggies are.

Here are the my other lovely piggies..

This is my baby Prescilla eating her celery... She LOVES her celery..

Here she is again... I love this pic..

So sorry to read about Chester :'( He looked like a lovely boy! Your others piggies look lovely too.

You are right about how much you can love these little animals :smitten:

Thank you. He was wonderful...

I've noticed most people think I'm being stupid for being as upset as I was. I heard the "it's just a guinea pig" line way too many times. Even from people who know how much we adore our babies. If someone's cat passes, everyone says "I'm so sorry." or "I couldn't imagine losing fluffy".

Some people suck, I guess..

I know what you mean, some people think it's odd to get so attached to a small animal - but they're the ones that don't realise how charming and totally individual each guinea pig is!

you have very gorgeous piggies :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Do your piggies cuddle? Mine cuddle... I could just eat them up sometimes... When they curl up on their side and snuggle and put their little heads down I just melt! :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Thank You! I've been browsing through this forum for a better part of the day. I've seen so many pictures of beautiful piggies.. I just LOVE THEM!

sorry to hear about Chestnut! :'( :'( guineas are definitely addictive, about the 1st pregnancy, i know how you feel, my darling peony was pregnant when we got her and we didn't know till the last 4weeks when we noticed her moving fat tummy! good luck with the second pregnancy! your piggies are absoloutly gorgeous! *drools* :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
