Guinea pig lump. Help me.

My guinea pig has a big soft lump in his chest/throat part. His legs are swollen.
He doesn't show any signs of illnesses except for the itchiness he feels often.
He scratches or bites the itch off. The itch is in his lump. There are scratch wounds in his lump. He tends to cry then wants to scratch the itchy part but there are scratch wounds so he cant scratch it because he feels pain when scratching the wounds.


WHAT SHOULD I DO. Is normal veterinarian okay for the guinea pig. Cause i know some of veterinary hospitals around here in metro manila(philippines). Do they know how to treat guinea pigs, cause maybe only big animals is their concern.

PLEASE NEEP HELP. ASAP. CANT STAND TO SEE HIM LIKE THAT 8...

DONT PANIC my barnety had a similar thing when he was young and i took him to the same vet i take my dog to ( any regular vet wiill take them) and he diagnosed him with an abcess and gave him medicine and it was touch and go but he pulled throungh and a year later i still have him so take him to the vet and i t [B]MIGHT[/B] just be an abcess like barneys hope this helps :-)
