I rescued a spider from a bathtub of water once I realised it was still alive.

It was in that heatwave a few weeks back. I'd run a bath of cold water as a makeshift paddling pool and forgot about it, woke up the following morning to find a spider and was like oops, my bad, let me just drain the water. And then I put my hand in the water and it moved, and I was like yay you're still alive. And got it out of the bath.

It was a cellar spider. I wouldn't do this for any spider, just the cellar spiders. The rest could go down the plug hole, dead or alive.

I still make and use spider ladders so they don't get stuck in the bath!
