Guinea Pig Mites?

My guinea pig has these small brown specks in her fur and I'm not sure if they are mites or just little specks of dirt? There are a lot of them towards her back end of her back.:... Is she going to be okay? If these aren't mites what are they? I noticed them last night when I was cleaning her fur. I am extremely worried about her and would like quick news. If they are mites can they spread to me and my furniture? Thanks ahead to all who help.

They sound like running lice to me. The best thing to do is take her to a vet to have them determine what it is as different mites need different treatments.

We had something similar on Red and I only noticed when his hair started falling out above his left eye. The hair grew back Thread here:

Good vets in Jacksonville Fl?

I just found out my little piggie has static lice 8... Does anyone know of a good vet I can visit to help my piggie in Jacksonville, Florida?
