Hi there!

Last night whilst cutting my guinea pig's nails I noticed that on the front left paw the nails are black and curved unlike on his other paws.

He is walking fine and does not seem to be in any pain but I was just wondering if this is something to be concerned about?

I have attached photos of the nails in question and the nails from the left back paw for comparison.

Thank you,

No, nothing to worry about. he simply has got a different skin colour, when you look at the foot pad, and that is colouring his nail. As piggies grow older, nails in many piggies curve and twist more and more.
