Guinea Pig Noises And Facial Expressions - Munching

We are getting used to our beautiful piggies, Oscar and Bolt, but we have a couple of questions.

1) What is the best way to learn about guinea pig noises? Our two are quite noisy little boars!

2) One of them keeps making facial expressions so it looks like his cheeks are full and he is munching. He is not eating and he is doing it while he is being handled. We have offered him food but he isn't hungry. Any clues what this means?

He may have something stuck in his mouth. Please check and if necessary see a vet promptly.

Guinea pig sounds with very different meanings can often Sound very similar to us humans, especially as we are not Hearing the full range, the higher pitches are beyond our Hearing range. You always Need to take Body language and situational context into account. That is the reason why many of the Audio samples online are inaccurate or wrongly interpreted and why we do not have any on here.
You usually get the hang of them.
