Hi everyone
A couple of weeks ago our guinea pig completely stopped eating and drinking. We took her to a very cavy savy vet who did blood tests, xrays for teeth and stones. The results came back completely inconclusive apart from some gas in her gut.
Following this she was put on antibiotics and gut stimulants which all seemed to work. She contracted a URI, but this was also cured through the antibiotics. Her appetite was better than ever and she seemed herself again.
However she has stopped eating again. I suspect the gas might be back. I have given her more gut stimulants and fed critical care.
Can anyone advise what to do next? With all the results being clear, no one seems to know what is causing this.
Thankyou to anyone who can help
