Sylvester is not right at the moment but is showing no obvious signs of anything I can think of. Since yesterday he has been staying under the shelf in his cage looking a bit fed up. He is eating but not rushing out to get food like he normally would, he comes out and takes a piece back to his hiding place. He is nibbling on hay as normal and will take a treat (spinach leaf) if offered. Usually he is out and about, up at the bars every time he hears something looking for food. I have just cleaned them out and I put Sylvester into a box and gave him some cucumber with a drop of metacam on incase he has pain. He ate 2 slices of cucumber and a piece of celery along with some strands of hay he was pulling out from the box. He has done some poos in the box which are normal size and shape but a little light in colour. Last night when I took him out he had some poo stuck in his bottom so at first I thought he might be impacted but when I cleaned it it was was only a little bit and I can't feel anymore inside. I also syringed a little water into him as he never drinks from the bottle or at least I never see him and the water does not go down so it seems neither of them do. The only other thing is he has quite a dandruffy back just at the back end. It doesn't look like the sort of dandruff they can get with mites, I did have a quick look through his fur and couldn't see any evidence of mites. I will obviously take him to the vet tomorrow but just wondered if anyone has any ideas?
