I'm fairly new to having a guinea pig but i own 1 and my sister owns 1 also my guinea pig seems to poop very often but my sisters on the other hand has pooped once my sister looked in the cage for a while and couldnt find anything infact i looked to and was suprised that there was nothing in the cage other then the usual things like water food hay etc but i would like to know is it normal for a guinea pig to not poop much or is there something that can be seriously wrong ?

Hi and welcome to the forum .

Yes they are normally big poop machines. Its often hard to decipher whose pooping the most when there's more than one, which of course there should be.

My advice, take the non-pooper suspect out of their house and have some lap time, obviously with a lap cover (fleece) or whatever then you will see if your sisters piggy is pooping. I find my piggies do a lot of pooping when on lap time for even 30 mins. Frankly even after 30mins or 1hr you would have seen a bundle of poops.

How is the piggy? Hunched up in a corner with the fur standing on end? Hopefully not.

the piggy usually doesnt move at all if its in the cage it just stays still unless it wants food or water if its outside of the cage it also just stands still it rarely moves
We have tried seperating them to see who poops more since we have 2 cages and my guinea pig pooped like crazy but my sisters guinea pig didnt poop AT ALL it pooped once

A guinea pig that cannot process food is looking very poorly and has no appetite at all.

However, if you are worried, please weigh your guinea pigs daily at the same time (ideally before their dinner) to see whether they have put on weight or lost some. Any loss over 50g (whether in a day or over the course of several days) should be seen by a vet.

Are your guinea pigs together or are they alone in different rooms? Are they the same gender? I assume that they are babies? How long have you had them? If they are new and all on their own, then it can be simply a case of your sister's piggy being very lonely and afraid, and not eating because it is pining. It would be easier for us to assess the situation and give you advice if you please answered these questions.
It would also help us of you please added which country you are in.

Is the not pooing recent, or has is always been like that?

It would be kind if you placed the cages next to each other, so they had interaction and mutual stimulation through the bars. I am not recommending play dates, as for guinea pig they are not play but bonding - and disrupting that is very upsetting for them. Guinea pigs are group animals and not wired to be on their own.

i would put them together but my sister doesnt want to part with hers understandibly and she keeps it in her room the only thing i can think of is geting her 2 more guinea pigs to switch with hers and i dont think thats going to happen .-. and the not pooping has been since her pig was in its cage .-.

But her guinea pig is growing normally and a similar size/weight to yours? Can you make sure that she is feeding a good regular diet and weigh weekly with her.

Would it be possible to persuade your sister to put the cages next to each other while you are away at school, so your piggies are not bored? Even if it means moving yours into her room?

the cages we have only fit 1 guinea pig each right now I'm thinking about geting another 2 guinea pigs for her so these guinea pigs can be together and ill try that at school puting them together so there not bored ill also see if i can weigh it but I'm sure its eating its not thin and i do see it geting water sometimes

They will hopefully be happier if they can interact through the bars and are not alone all the time. That is already a major improvement. Can you initiate a little competition about weighing your guinea pig weekly and see which one has gained more weight on a chart? Or play games like timing which piggy eats its veg or hay quicker etc. to make sure that he gets fed properly? etc.
