Guinea pig not vocal

Quick question! So my 2 guinea pigs squeak alot even when they hear my footsteps but my one guinea pig almost never squeaks at all, shes really lax and the only sounds she makes are little purs and struts. Why?

Not all piggies are talkers.
Dexter wheeks at me every time I go near them but Popcorn doesnt. The only time I’ve heard Popcorn really make a noise is if I’m trying to clip his nails which he hates.

Dennis is a quiet piggy and hardly ever speaks. When he gets excited he says "Boing Boing". The other day after nearly 4 years I heard him wheek for the very first time! I was so surprised and delighted I started a thread.

Dennis has a wheaker! Who knew?
