Hello! So I have quite a picky little piggy who only eats GREEN vegetables. I've tried bell peppers, tomatoes, carrots, cauliflower etc but she only likes green. Even so, she will only eat the outside of a cucumber and will leave the inside. She eats different salad leaves (if they are green, not red or anything), parsley, basil (her favourite), clovers, dandelion leaves and I probably forgot something.
I'm worried that she's not getting enough vitamin C. I have vitamin C drops but she loathes it. Even if I put those drops on basil she will grit her teeth and not touch it. If I put it in the water, she somehow KNOWS and won't drink it.
What green vegetables and how much should I give her, so she wouldn't have a deficiency?

Welcome to the forum.
I wouldn’t worry too much about a green vegetable focussed piggy.
As long as she’s getting a variety of green vegetables she’ll be getting enough vitamin C.
There is no need for vitamin C drops.
Have you tried coriander as another herb ?
It can safely be fed every day.

If I had the tech skills I would link the forum diet guide but you will find it in the general information section for new owners.

As vegetables make up a maximum of 20% of the diet she will be getting vitamin C from the hay which is 80% of the diet.

We look forward to getting to know you

Piggies can be such fussy creatures can’t they! My budgies only eat orange vegetables like carrot. Anything different colour-wise gets tossed out of their cage or left untouched. At least she’s chosen the best colour of vegetables to favour 💚

Methinks you need a teensy spot of further education in tech skills. This is really quite easy. Even I can do it! So long as I'm not on my phone, but on proper computer no probs. You don't want to know what all I can't do, so that's how I can determine that linking is quite easy 😜

Just having Green veg is fine and she will be getting some vit c from them. Herbs are good for vitamin c content.
Fresh grass, if you have access to it, is also good.
(They don’t get enough vit c from hay though).

Does she eat guinea pig pellets/nuggets? If so then they are usually vit c fortified anyway.

Please don’t give vit c supplements.
