Has anyone used guinea pig waste and hay as fertilizer for vegetable gardens? I was just reading about it and thought it was interesting. I’m getting ready to plant mine soon.

I’ve used poop as fertiliser, I sweep it up and through it all over the boarders of Flowers and veg. Not sure if it helps but I’ve never had any issue doing this :)

I used what I accumulated over winter in hay poop and wood shavings (bagged up to keep damp and help it to rot) to create my vegetable bed. The veggies aren't complaining and it brings it full circle since it won't be me who eats the produce!

I have been using it in all my house plants over the winter. I just mixed all their dropping into my garden, lets hope it works. I tried making a slurry out of it and I would not recommend it the smell is horrible.

my main herd are kept in an 12 x12ft hutcth that has a wire floor then earth ,l clean all this out in spring, piggies only use one area as their toilet, the pee soaks away, and in sping l dig it out, every spade full is full of worms,l use it in the veg garden and flowerpots. it s tbe best plant food l kown of,it don' burn tbeir roots like chook poo.
