Hello. I got 2 new guinea pigs 2 weeks ago. For the first week, everything was normal. Now i noticed that one of them has weird light and crumbly poop.I know that both of them eats and drinks well. They got their pellets, veggies and timothy hay 24/7. They got a huge c&c cage as well. The poop is not wet but not dry as wellP_20190117_055316.webp I attached a pic please help me determine what's the problem. I also noticed some milky white pee.

Hi!

Milky pee is the way excess calcium is excreted; the odd calcium pee is not an issue. If you see them on a frequent or even near daily basis, then you might want to check your overall diet. Please be aware that calcium comes from water, pellets and veg, and often mostly from the two first groups.

If your piggy has a minor issue with poos, you can take it off any fresh veg for a day or two until they have normalised again. Over 80% of the daily food intake should be hay anyway; veg make only about 10% and pellets 5%. The more hay your piggies eat, the better their long term health and life expectancy. See a vet if you have regular problems, if the absence of fresh veg is making the poos look better within 24 hours or if the poos get worse and there is a weight loss over 50g. Switch from the normal weekly weigh-in/health check to weighing daily at the same time before you feed their veg.

I would recommend that you read these guides here; you will hopefully find them helpful.

Thank you! I have one more question, why is it that only one of them has this type of poop?
