Guinea Pig Puttin On Alot Of Weight

IMG_7830.webp IMG_7828.webp so I got my male guinea pig gizmo a friend last week and they have been together for exactly a week now. Every since then gizmos weight has been going up and up and it's started to get me worried. He's also eating and drinking alot more and he's hiding in houses a lot more than he used to. They have never had a fight they got on ever since the start but the stupidest tiny things get me so worried. I've attached some pictures of both the piggies weight and please could you just give me your suggestions and your advice please ? Thank You
 
So 100g in three weeks or so... How old is he?
 
I would say it is normal weight spurts to be honest with you.perhaps he is eating more food than he was on his own, maybe getting some of the new dudes veg? He is young so will grow and will hit spurts.
 
Definitely male?
They do hit a growth spurt at that age and get a fuller figure.

Pretty sure he's a male. That's was the pet shop claimed. I adopted Bruce when he was 1 year old and you can defiantly tell he's a male due to his male parts! Do you think he could be female ? I hope it's just a growth spurt however I will stick with him whatever!
 
If you're unsure that Gizmo is a boy then you'll need to go back to the pet shop or the vet for him to be sexed.

Otherwise "he" might end up putting on a lot of weight if he's actually a girl and pregnant.

I can't take him to the pet shop as it's been 2 months since I got him and I took him to the vet last week and they didn't mention anything? Would you be able to tell by a picture or is it not that simple ?
 
Can you post a photo of his genitals? Then we can give you the benefit of our experience!

If you think he is a male from these pictures how come he dosent have any ' male parts ' like Bruce! His are huge!
