where is the best place to get guinea pig ramps I am considering adding another levels to my guinea pigs cage any places that sell ramps ?
Ideally not drastically expensive beause i have seen a few which are way overpriced !
Also any ideas if it doesnt go to plan on how to make a diy one ?

My husband custom made ours in our original cages, as I didn't want them steep. But we have since moved them to a different room where they have much more space all on one level, as ramps take away from ground floor space and piggies in general prefer the one level. Mine did use the ramps, but they much prefer a larger ground level.

Looks like the ramp guide pretty much covers this, but yeah, some guinea pigs will not go up a ramp of any height, not to save their lives, not for anything. Some of mine will not even go up a very short ramp that's barely off the ground. Or they do go up, and then get stranded at the top because they won't go down.

Before you invest in a full-size ramp, perhaps you could test your guinea pigs out on a smaller slope made from something around the house? Just make sure it's stable and non-slip. If they won't go up even a teeny ramp, you'll know for sure your money is better spent expanding their ground floor instead.

:agr: Mine are the same. Upper levels can be nice but piggies are ground roaming and while some piggies do like upper levels, some dont.
My boys have a hutch in a shed. Their hutch is two storey and they use the ramp in there absolutely fine. There is a c&c cage attached go their hutch taking up the rest of the shed space. I put an upper level in the c&c part. I bought a proper loft kit but they only used it for a week before not being bothering to go up there again. They simply are happier on the ground floor of the shed even though they don’t mind the upper level of their hutch.

That setup sounds really neat. 😃

I've got one pig (Sylvie) that basically lives in her loft but she's the oddball one in that regard, lol. She'll come down for food and then *zip* right back up to her favorite hammock.
