Guinea pig really can feel emotions

My one guinea pig Snowball, is like a cuddly teddy bear! I got upset earlier today and i was holding him and he jumped up my neck and he rubbed his head on me and started licking my hand, i love him sooooooooo much! But my other guinea pig isn't like it at all, think it's because his a baby and is lively! X
