My guinea pig was feeling sick and we were told to give him vitamin C....when giving it to him through a medicine dropper, he bit off the tip of it. Today he's been acting weird, almost like he's trying to throw up. Anybody have any info that could help? His belly is going in and out....but it doesn't seem to be up near his breathing but further down toward his bottom. I'm afraid he's in pain. appreciate any help.

To give a guinea pig vitamin C it is best to buy tablets to crush and place on the food. If you think your guinea pig has swallowed the tip of the dropper and is not breathing as normal you need to get him to the vet immediately to find out what is wrong.

If he is not acting normally and you feel he may be in pain then he needs to see a vet asap

Your description is very basic and thus diffcult to advise......however from the heaving i would suggest that you need to rule out a gut obstruction and that, I'm afraid, means an emergency visit to a cavy savvy vet. It also sounds to me that once an obstruction is ruled out your piggie will need gut motility meds to stabilise him whilst you and your vet work out a cause.

Wereabouts are you in the country ?- we can point you in the right direction to receive proper vet advice.
