hi, i'm a newbiehere. i adopted a piggy last weekend. he is very scared of the noise of the metal ball in the water bottle and is not drinking from it at all. tried to teach him but didn't work. he is just so scared of the noise. is it okay to replace water with a lot of vegetables? thanks!

Hello and welcome to the forum! Maybe you should put a bowl of water in the cage for your little piggies instead. But remember that bowls of water get contaminated very quickly with poop and bits of bedding being kicked in so will need to be changed often.

If he is afraid of it then why not try a bowl of water? Vegetables alone are not enough for liquid for your little one. I would leave the bottle though as he may get used to it. You will have to change the water in the bowl often as it can get very messy.

he might have drank when you wasnt looking. wet his veg when you give them to him to give him more fluids x
