A week ago my piggie got a cold as discharge was coming from her nose and she kept sneezing
So I took her the vets and she was prescribed septrin for a week.

I weigh my piggies once a week my little piggie munchkin lost over 100g even though she was on antibiotics! !

So i have rushed her thevets today and they have kept her in to be syringe fed whilst I'm in work.

I thoight i would tempt her with grass this morning and she woofed it down. This was a bad ideas as the vet couldn't see in her mouth. My error.

I have separated her from the other two so i can monitor her food, toilet habits and anything else...

So far ive found out:-
Her temperature is good
Small little poos
Bloated stomach
Eating very little

I'm pickomg her up later today and I'll post a little update x

Here is our syringe feeding guide; you need to step in asap whenever a piggy is off food, even if it just a top up. Complete Syringe Feeding Guide

Please take her off all fresh food if she is bloated. The poos reflect the diminished food intake over the last day or two. Massage/vibrate the belly gently to help shift the gas. See what your vet is giving her re. gassing up in term of medication. Normal are zantac/ranitidine for the gassing and emeprid/metoclopramide as gut stimulants.

Just called the vets for an update.

Munchkin is spitting the food out and not taking the critical care.

The vet thinks she is stressed in the vets which is making her worse.

I'm picking her up at 5pm.

Any ideas of something tasty that may temp her to eat.

They said if she doesn't eat tomorrow she is having an xray to see what is going on inside.

Getting worried as they are closed over easter.

You could try to tempt her with some posh hay? like timothy hay maybe? You will need to carry on with the syringe feeding though if she is not eating for herself, even if she keeps spitting it out, just take it slowly, no more than half a syringe at a time.

Quick update...
Munchkin is on metacan, metoclopramide, lofaol and some kind of diaorolite for piggies...

I have managed to give her 7ml of critical care tonight and flushed some fluids down. She had eaten a little bit of grass and hay herself and thats about it.

Going to take the vets again tomorrow si they can syringe feed her until i finish work.

They said next thing is xray to see whats going on...

Just been giving 0.3ml at a time and she seemed to take most of it..

She is pooing slighty and had a little wee.

Munchkin isnt doing good at all.
The vet nurse took her home tonight to syringe feed her.
She is still refusing to eat by herself. She took 50ml at the vets today.
She still is on zantac metoclopramide bio-lapis.
We are going to see how she is tomorrow but it doesn't look good.
Hate the suffering she is going through.

Had to make a horrible decision yesterday and PTS my little munchkin. She had excessive bloat and she got progressively worse with other symptoms. I was hoping her xrsy wouls show something that we could fix. I still have her other cage mates to look after. RIP munchkin x
