I am starting to write a story about a rescue guinea pig who was on her own and the kids got bored of her. I was wondering what thoughts would be going through her mind when she first got to her foster home and met other piggies with similar stories. Any ideas would be great, thanks :)

Would she know she was a piggy if she had always been on her own? She may wonder what all these other wheeky things are :))

I'd imagine piggies that go into rescue are initially a bit scared as new place, sights, sounds etc, but as they settle in they realise that all the attention, food, comfort, company is actually pretty neat. Especially if they have come from a not so great home.

Good luck with the writing :)

When sisters Nerys and Nia were handed into rescue as unwanted children's pets, their lady wouldn't even donate their food bowl despite driving a posh car!

They were like wild things and had really razor sharp claws, Nia particularly. She only needed to touch your skin in order to leave a bloody scratch - and she panicked regularly when picked up! All the two of them had was each other...

So far in the story she was separated from her sister in the pet shop and misses her own kind but maybe it will be overwhelming for her and bring back memories from being a baby.
Thanks :)
