Not sure what's going on. She's acting like she's in labor and every so often she's trying to push something out. Ears back, bracing, full-on pushing and moans that resemble a squeaking door/woof sound. She already had an x-ray about 2 weeks ago as her weight and behavior at the time had me concerned she was an accidental pregnancy, but it came back as nothing (or so the vet said).

I've felt her belly, and nothing hard in it. As far as I can tell, her bum is empty and her vent is ruptured and vaginal opening (inside) looks irritated, though her bum is much much smaller than a boar flaring one, so can't really look deeper. I did see a wet turd earlier, but nothing recent. Doesn't seem to be peeing either. Her pelvic bones feel normal. She's about 4 months old.

Only thing I can think of is urinary or anal blockages? As I said, she's straining exactly like pregnant gp would, but she shouldn't be pregnant. No vets locally Christmas week after hours (it's night time) so any advice blockages checking?

Hi! Please have her checked for urinary tract infection (UTI). Make sure that you weigh her daily instead of weekly and step in with syringe feeding if she loses more than 50g/2 oz of weight in a short time. Pain and discomfort are major appetite killers.

Will a UTI manifest the same things i.e. acting strained? Or would we be talking blockages (stones) or just outright lining irritation? (being a guy, never had one that I'm aware of so not familiar with them in general)

Yes. I had a piggy that had uti and she was straining and squeeking/moaning whenever she pee and poo. You need to get her to a vet and ask them about UTI in guinea pigs. Having an xray or ultrasound would also reveal if she has stones.

Thanks everyone! Been doing oral antis and she started doing better almost immediately. Hasn't strained since the day of vet visit thankfully.
