Help....my fiancée bought my four Guinea pigs beets on the root and he fed them three leaves each. I read they are poisonous. This happened four hours ago and they seem ok. I’m freaking out. Please help. Are these poisonous and if so what do I do?

It is one of these things that are not actually proven and, if at all true, would only apply to long term regular consumption of large quantities.
