So I just weighed nibbles. He is around 18 months old and weighs 900 grams. Potato is around 11 months old and is 700 something grams. Is this bad?

At 11 months he may not be fully grown and all piggies are different. As long as he has not lost any weight and is eating well I don’t think this is bad.

I have a 700g pig and an 800g. It’s just the size they are. Both are fit and well, have never needed a vet with me for illness, just hay poke and a sore shoulder. (I got them at a year old from a rescue after they were taken from an overcrowding situation)

Your weights sound fine.
For a mature guinea pig the healthy weight range is 800g - 1500g.
Your youngster is still growing so he won’t reach adult weight for a few months yet.
There are piggies who are perfectly healthy outside that range as @Tigermoth has said.
Regular weighing allows you to pick up on excessive fluctuations or persistent weight loss.

Sorry for not replying so quick, haven’t logged on in a bit. But I’m glad to hear they’re fine. They have actually gained 40 grams each!

Oh okay I’ll keep an eye on it. Oh and sorry for not replying quick... I’ve been quite busy with school😂 it’s tough having picky pigs and being a college student😂
