Hey my guinea pig isn't active today like every other day I'm abit concerned because she's not eating but her hands and feet are moving normally she's lifting her head but still laying down?

@Jeanie Snowball She needs to see a vet. If she is not eating she is feeling ill.

They aren't built like us so she won't survive a long period of time with no food intake.

Please have her seen asap!

I don't even have transport to take her vet that's why I'm so stressed & idk wat to do 😭

@Jeanie Snowball Could you take the bus or taxi?

Could you ask a friend or family member for a lift?

Could you check to see if there is a vet within walking distance?

In the meantime are you syringe feeding her? They need to have a constant stream of food moving through their digestive system otherwise it will eventually stop and she will die.

They can't go without food for a few days like we can.

Are you weighing regularly? Has their been a change in her weight?

You really need to act asap.

Hi!

Please see a vet ASAP as a life and death emergency!
Do you have any vet within walking distance or can hitch a drive with a friend or relative?

If you are lucky, it is something you have a change of pulling through like GI stasis (no gut movement), but if you are unlucky your piggy has gone into acute heart failure or multiple organ failure. Only a vet examination can tell; the sooner this happens the more of a chance you have if you are dealing with a potentially reversible issue.

HUGS
