When I woke up this morning one of the piggies had just wet onto a piece of cardboard in their hutch and hen I looked it seemed to be a cloudy white colour. When I came home frm work and this wet had dried it appears there is a chalky residue left behind on the card. Sooooo I *** wonder does anyone know what this might be?

The chalky residue is calcium deposits, if it feels powdery it's normal - if it is gritty then it may indicate bladder sludge. One of our piggies wee always drys with fine white powder but it doesn't feel gritty when rubbed between fingers.

Here's a link to guinea lynx an excellent medical website http://www.guinealynx.info/normal.html urine is mentioned halfway down page. Hope this helps.

Hi, I have just found this link on the lynx website. Many thanks for coming back to me.
