Hi - I wonder if anyone can help me (again!)

My 2 piggies are both 8 weeks old. I was wondering how much roughly they should weigh at this stage and how much weight they should be putting on each week (just so I can keep a check on them)

Many Thanks for your help

Claire

Average weight gain is about one to one and a half ounces per week. At eight weeks their weight should be 11 to 15 ounces, assuming birth weight of 3 ounces.
As ever, there are exceptions to this, but it is an adequate rough guide.

Just a balanced diet; at this age their actual birth weight is still a factor. If they were part of a big litter, their birth weight would have been smaller. It evens out throught the first months of their lives, so nothing to be worried about!

If you want, and can, cut them fresh grass (make sure there is no dog pee on it!), but up the quantity slowly, so they don't get diarrhea.

I would not be in the least bit concerned by that weight. Weigh them again in a week, that will give you the trend to follow.
