So brought my guinea pig to the vet today, they listed his weight as:

(Weight: 0.9 kg -7m)

Does anyone know what this means? I know that 0.9 kg is like 1.9 pounds. I just don't understand what 7m is supposed to mean in this context? Of course, I noticed after I left the vet and I was home.

Thank you!

*And he is perfectly healthy and eating just fine, I just don't understand the whole weight thing*

Is it his age? 🤷🏾‍♀️ Can’t think what else it would be.

Your boy is 900g at 7 months of age. Which is a perfectly fine weight! :tu:

PS: We also use grams on this forum to avoid confusion and misleading advice between imperial and metric pounds, which differ crucially in the weight range of guinea pigs. ;)
