Bare in Mind I Am a first time Owner With These 2 Piggies. I've Done A lot of research Into them. But A bit puzzled of How Much they should weigh...

Soo Sweep is About 8month Old & weights 732G

And sutty Is About 7month old and weights 945G

Now when i feed them Sutty is a greedy gut & steals sweeps part of snap..so sweep just walks away Like he don't care. i do try to stop sutty from stealing it but he eats so fast

should i separate them when they have their feed?

They are of fine weight, and he'll only be stealing Sootys food because of the dominance order, he'll be showing his order in the hierarchy, Sooty will eat when Soo Sweep has finished his and when he wants to. the dominant one always weighs more. Just think of it like a fat king eating a banquet and his servants get to eat the scraps he doesn't want lol. Their fine, my two girls are the same Lola scoffs the lot and is a chubby lil thing and Sienna has her food taken out of her mouth and is fine about it and eats when she wants to. :)

Sorry I spelt Sutty's name wrong and got them mixed up I meant when Sutty has finshed eating Soo Sweep will go and eat his bit! x

Aww Thankyou! i was worried about him :( i keep a check every week & hes not loosing weight but not gaining much either.

They'll be fine but if your really worried about them you best take them to the vets to be sure. But their weights are fine for their ages! :(|)

They seem like normal weights given their ages, maybe continue to weigh them and monitor any losses/gains?

Perhaps you could give them two food bowls as well? So that they can both eat at the same time. I have two food bowls for some of my piggies when one is a bit more pushy at feeding time and I also try and put the veggies in different places in the cage. Put some in obvious places like in the bowls and then maybe hide a bit in any houses/tunnels just so they can eat in separate places but still together.

It is a hierarchy thing though, Sutty is basically boss pig! But in all pairs/groups/herds there has to be a king or queen and that's okay.

one of my boys is much bigger than the other and both eat plenty. when I put the veggies in, I split them between two places so they don't have to share the pile but they both normally eat one pile until it's gone and then both move on the the other one!

Chatterboxgodden I just have to say your grey and white little'n at the front is adorable :) Sooo cute xx>>>

If you are concerned you could give Sweep some time out but with some healthy treats.... just by himself and cuddling with you perhaps :)
I do this at times with my girl Onyx as Velvet will eat/scoff everything in sight......... they're sisters.

Ive done what you said & put food in diffrent places so 1s upstairs & others down eating the own bit :) seems to be allright :)

there are weight guidelines for pigs but like us they are different :) for reference ours are
rocky 2 years - 1359g
gizmo 2 years - 1375g
bill 19 months - 1312g
ben 19 months - 1215g
marmite 7 months 899g

hope these give you an idea as long as they are happy dont worry just keep an eye on gains and losses a big loss should be monitored or discussed with the vet
