Hello,

Sorry if there is another thread about Piggie weights, but I thought I just make a quick thread. Which is the average weight of a Guinea pig? I have two GP's- One is 1.2 kilos and the other is 1.4, is this too big?
They are fed on:

- Normal hay from my stables I keep my horse at.(unlimited)
- A cup of a mix of fruits and veg for both of them to share every other day.
- Pets at Home pellets (a bowl which lasts them two days at most)
- If the weather is nice they go out on the run, but due to this rubbish weather this year, they havent been out as much as they used to.
- Fresh water every day

Am I giving them the right amount of food?

Thank you.

What is that in grams

Piggies vary in size and weights - I have sows heavier than boars rolleyes
Pellets/veg and hay should all be fresh at least once a day - remove any veggies that they don't eat after a few hours as it may upset their tums.
Younger piggies need more pellets I find than the older ones so can gauge how much to put in their dishes now as I was throwing loads away at one time mallethead
