Lately my guinea pig has had a bad hay poke but it’s slowly getting worse, what first started with a cloudy eye has now turned into a bulging red eye that is so cloudy you can’t see his eye color any more. please help!
 
I’m going to go to the vet on Friday but I’m getting really worried for his health. The antibiotics that they gave me don’t seem to be doing anything
 
Did the vet give you eye drops before? Any eye injury that looks to be getting worse does really need to be seen again by the vet as an emergency, eye injuries deteriorate very fast and prompt treatment is needed to stop piggy losing the eye! Hope piggy is ok x

Well that's good the eye is being treated, but it does rather sound like things have taken a turn for the worse, I would phone the vet and explain how things are looking and ask for an emergency appointment. Best of luck, let us know what the vet says x

Yes, I would.
Eye pokes are usually better/showing signs of improvement within a week (mine were massively improved within three days) so if it is getting worse, then it needs to be dealt with as soon as possible.
 
I would call the vets and ask them to see you as an emergency. Good luck.
 
I would have him seen again today as a matter of urgency.

My late Erin needed her eye removed as her eye had ruptured despite her having eye drops and antibiotics. We sadly had to have her pts as she wasn’t fit for surgery :(
