Please can anyone give me any advice . My daughter's guinea pig Bubble is 4 years old . Last Thursday I noticed that she was struggling to eat her vegetables. I took her to the vets and he said that she had spurs growing on her molars and they needed to be filed down . This was done under general anaesthetic . She stayed at the vets for 3 days and came home on Sunday . We have been syringe feeding her 4x per day and she seems to take this ok. She is also on 0.3ml baytril and 0.15ml metacam . She has been mainly quiet and subdued since coming home , not her usual self at all . On Sunday , Monday and up to Tuesday morning she was managing to eat reasonable amounts of her usual veg - quite slowly but she seemed to be improving each time she ate . She was also nibbling at nuggets but was refusing hay . I am a bit concerned that since yesterday afternoon she now no longer seems to be able to eat any vegetables or nuggets . She seems to want to eat them but is unable to pick them up with her teeth now . She is pooping a little bit but they are very small and not anywhere near her usual amount and there seems to be even less poop today . I feel that I need to take her to see another vet . Ideally I would prefer to see a vet who is experienced in dealing with dental issues in guinea pigs . I am aware from reading other posts that there is a vet in Northampton who is highly recommended. Unfortunately it is not possible for me to travel to Northampton. I wondered if anyone could recommend a vet who is experienced in dealing with guinea pig dental issues in the north west area who can help me I am based in South Manchester . Thanks .
