I have recently got a 5 week old guinea pig from my local rescue, and she has no ears! The whole reason I picked her was because she had no ears and I thought it would take her a long time to find a home because she wasn't "perfect". Does anyone know of a guinea pig with the same problem? She has a some of the inside part but not much. The rescue lady is not sure wether she was just born like it or her mother ate them off. Any suggestions?

When you say her ears do you mean the flappy part or the hole? If it is the flappy part, I am almost positive their ears cool them down. I would not leave her in heat for any reason. I bet she will be fine though. You should get her ears checked by a vet so you can get ear cleaning stuff, and find out for sure why she doesn't have ears. I have never heard of a momma piggie eating any part of a baby piggie. Can we get some pigtures?

Thanks for your reply. She does have a little bit off the insides of the ear but definitely not the flap. The rescue lady said that the mum could have panicked when giving birth and she said there was a lot of blood, so she might have eaten them. If you give me your email I can email the pic to you so you can see. Because of my type of computer(iPad) it is not possible to post pictures on here, but if I can get your email address I can send it to you via that.thanks
