guinea pig with Pica?

I think that's how it's spelt... has anyone come across a piggy who's tastes go further than the average? Humbug likes rich tea biscuits, used to try and nick my brew, and her latest effort was nabbing a flake of tuna mayo off the floor! I mean how odd is that?
I've had piggies for years, but some of the foods she tries to eat just isn't for veggies:{
She's always had odd tastes and behaviour, could she have been hand reared?/
 
my girls always steal my toast and they are also partial to a coco pop. never ever leave a bowl of cereal or a slice of toast unattended when those two are about lol x
 
Toast and cereal are popular in our house too. Merry will get right in your bowl if he can or walk over your pate to eat your sandwiches.

Suilven took a great liking to our victoria spong cake crumbs and jam the other day - licking the plate clean.

Both of them are partial to licking spoons used for lemon or chocolate mousse.
 
haha! my boyfriend is constantly being told off for giving my boys things they probably shouldnt have, toast crusts, weetabix minis, cocopops lol!
 
My guinea pigs haven't really tried to eat my food before (the cat has, though!) but they do keep going for plants in the garden so I have to chase them...

Ringo was also very partial to my buttons, for some reason. Most piggies will have a nibble, but he'd proper try to eat them! Silly pig.
 
My piggie makes a dive for cat food (packet meat), plastic bags and chocolate. When he goes out loose on the floor have to make sure none are around, obviously all are really bad for him. He obviously doesn't realise he's meant to be a vegetarian!

It's funny that it's always the ill ones that eat the strangest of foods? humbug wasn't herself when she tried drinking tea, eating fruit cakes and biscuits.. it's almost as if there's an ingredient in the food that they feel they need?
 
cant comment on my piggies as if I'm honest theyve never eaten anything wierd before... bar cleo eating my telephone wire... and i thought i'd been cut off and phoned bt off my mobile and screamed at them for cutting me off when i had payed the bill... and well... yeh... it was guinea pig related... :))
but the house rabbit... well thats a whole other story...
hes eaten my fireplace...
through a box of nesquick...(I'm sure theres some irony in there somewhere...:)))
he robs my crusts when ive finished a sarni and put the plate on the floor...
weetabix... he got stuck in my recycling the other day... trying to lick out the pots and stuff in there...
hes a devil to keep an eye on... drives me mad....!
