Guinea pig with white spot on ear, what is this?

One of my two Guinea pigs, Peanut Butter Cup has a dry dandruff looking spot on her ear, just on her one ear and there was a little chink of dead skin on it that I pulled off, it’s not bothering her or anything, not sure if my other Guinea pig Cinnamon could have nibbled it or something, does anyone have any idea what this could be?

By the way she looks so scared because I was holding her to take the picture and she hates that.

I’m afraid we can’t diagnose anything but I would suggest you see a vet so you can check in case if is the start of ringworm.

Should I make an appointment or should I wait for other symptoms?

If you have health concerns, then don’t wait. It might not be ringworm (there are other types of fungal infections and parasites as well), but we cannot know for sure. However, as ringworm is so contagious to all other animals and humans, it’s not something you want to delay getting the diagnosed if you are seeing white, crusty patches.

The only symptom of ringworm is white crusty patches and flaking skin.
