Junior Guinea Pig
One of my guinea pigs (Igby) wont eat any of her new pellets. After seeing some threads recommending guinea pig pellets, I decided to buy Oxbow pellets for my two girls.
Persephone is still getting used to them, and I have mixed in half a teaspoon of critical care (which both love) and added it to the pellets, just to get them interested(I have only done this twice). It has probably been a week with the new pellets, and Igby wont eat any of it. She still eats veggies and hay, so she hasnt lost her appetite, but she just wont eat the new pellets/try them. Even the critical care mixed in she doesnt take intrest, and when I had to syringe feed her she loved the taste of the critical care! Can guinea pigs go without pellets? Or is there any other way I can turn her onto them? I also tried mushing up the pellets and adding it behind a cucumber so she could get used to the taste, but she just ate around it!
Thanks!
