Guinea pigs abandoned on a derelict farm

Now, i can remember how tiny some of those girls were, and if most are pregnant it actually makes me want to cry to think of them going through that :( I'm so glad we managed to get them out.

Everything possible is being done to make sure there aren't any more pigs at the dump site. I will make the trip down if i'm needed but if there are no signs there isn't a lot i can do for now. Very kind of the lady to call in for us and i'm actually quite relieved to find out about the thieving robin :))

Just a quick update: Another kind volunteer checked the site yesterday afternoon and saw no piggies. However, she did report that half of the pellet food was gone. This was filled level late Friday. Not sure how much a little robin can consume. As I was leaving to check again today my car had a flat tyre. The volunteer from yesterday can check again tomorrow. I was hoping to set the live trap today but that wasn't to be (can't find the tool to change the tyre so waiting for the neighbours to get home in the hope they have one).

Best of luck, but hopefully, you have got them all out in time!

Fantastic job :(|) you're a star! a big well done to all involved, such a lovely end to a horrid story, can't believe anyone could just dump such adorable animals.

You all deserve a medal! that was some rescue, and must have been an absolute nightmare getting thru those brambles! The people who dumped these are totally heartless, its a pity they cant be found and prosecuted. :(

I just wanted to echo what everyone else has said really! You are all absolute super stars! What a truly kind thing to have done!

Please see the current rehoming threads in Rescue & Rehoming for the farm piggies that are still looking for homes.

Tomato has a trio of girls and suzygpr has lots of pairs available.

I adopted 2 of the farm boys from suzy and they are 2 of the most lovely boys you could ever wish for

I'm really pleased to see these piggies get adopted. Lovely to see them getting homes with forum members too. I still can't believe we managed to catch them. It seems like a dream when I think about it now.

Scrumpy, Jack and Pip are still looking for homes as are many from this rescue with Suzygpr.

I'm delighted to announce that the very last of the Farm Rescue piggies that have been waiting for their forever home at the Glynneath Guinea Pig Rescue have now gone home. They came in last October, 17 turned into 33 by November and two by two they have all now left the rescue for their own happy endings.

Mission complete.
