Hello again!

We recently found out that my wife is pregnant and we have our two guinea pigs in our bedroom where we are planning to have our first born, once he/she arrives!

Is there anything to be concern about having the guinea pigs in the same room as the baby? Unfortunately we cant keep the piggys in the kitchen or living room because there is not enough space for their big cage.

Firstly - congratulations !

Personally, I can't see any reasons why you can't keep guinea pigs in the same room as a baby - but I am no expert so, will wait and see what more expert members say .

Congrats! :D

The only thing I can think of is perhaps noise? I'm sure it depends on the baby as to whether they're a big crier or not but I don't know if it would upset the piggies?

Maybe others could expand on this :)

Congratulations :yahoo:

I can't see any health reason why piggies can't live in the same room as your baby. They don't carry or spread any particular bugs or germs.

Now that is super exciting. I remember when I was preggers with my first 24 years ago! I was so excited when I found out I had Stupid grin on my face for weeks!
