Guinea Pigs And Rabbits Living In The Same Room!?

Ok so i got a photo of mine reported and removed on a Facebook group as apparently it basically showed irresponsible pet ownership as they were in close proximity. Baring in mind i am holding the guinea pig and wouldn't allow any interaction where they can touch one another.

Now I house my guinea pigs in the same room as the rabbits, but they are up high enough where they can not physically come in contact with one another. I am fully aware that rabbits can carry bordatella and pass it on to guinea pigs, however it is not proven to be an airborne virus.

i would like to know others opinions on housing both species in the same room where they breathe the same air but can have no physical contact? Vets house rabbits and guinea pigs on the same hospital wards and they are trained professionals. :?

I do not have knowledge of rabbits however I have seen many guinea pig owners who are very knowledgeable and I trust who have them in the same room but separate.... I don't know if this helps you

Mine live in the same shed but different hutches, I have kept both for many years with no problems.
