I don't know much about Star Trek, but do you guys agree that guinea pigs are similar to tribbles:
•Both furry
•Both purr
•Best in large numbers
•Adorable
•Good-natured
•Eat a lot
•Enjoy being stroked

Yes! Couldn't agree more. When I used to have a couple of long haired piggies my mum was always calling them the tribbles!
