Guinea Pigs and Vegetables

Does it take time for guinea pigs to get used to eating vegetables? The 2 little guys I brought home last night seemed terrified of the veggies I put in their cage and when I woke up this morning nothing was touched. I know the previous owner was using the drops in the water so they were probably used to that but there's no way I'm doing that. How long should I wait and see if they'll eat any veggies before I syringe feed them a little bit of vitamin C?

Are they eating their dried food? Muesli or nuggets? If they are on nuggets that will contain some vit C. Give it a day or two for them to start eating their veggies, mine didnt touch theirs for the first few days.

it took one of my boys nearly 10 days to start eating veggies, just keep at it they will get there eventually.

Poor little guys!

Try cucumber and/or melon, anything with a good scent to make them curious.

mine didnt eat for quite a few days, until my mum gave me some of her home grown, completely organic lettuces she had grown from seed. they wolfed it down. they are a little fussy, but eat loads now, easpecially grandmas specials! (she grows just for them now!)
