Hi, I am going to be adapting my cage to put a little area in for my baby boar today and just want to know whether all woods are safe for guineas? I'm planning on using softwood to make a frame, then bird wire over it. Any advice appreciated!

I only know that fruit wood is safe, used in chews and so on. I think wood generally is fine, I know pine can have nasty aromatics in it, but softwood doesn't. You have to watch for the treatment used on the wood, if there is one. That could be poisonous.
