i have noticed with my boars (well excluding young marmite) that although they weigh the upper end of the scale they arent fat. I have just tried to pick up an exceptionally hyper Rocky to discover he feels like one solid muscle. Playing Tug with him only shows that for his size he is quite powerful. So for anyone who thinks guinea pigs are wussy animals (we all know better than that) they can be deceptive

My two Aby brothers are touching the scales at almost 1600g - I call them my Chippendales :(|)
They strut their stuff (are still my babies really) act all macho but enjoy lots of fuss. Chopper will virtually stand on his back legs when he hears my voice and shouts until he has had a kiss then races off :x

Chopper, brother of Harley. He has girlie 'skirt hair' but don't tell him :x

They look just like my abby Spice (in size) But spice only weighs in at a measly 1.082 kg. lol.

Tracey your boys are drool! Bet you get cramp on your legs at lap time :))

Guinea's are quite powerful for their size i always think. Treacle will butt my hand away with extreme force if I leave it near her head for a second - The little Miss... :))

I was amazed how chunky they are and almost fell over when I weighed them :x
I have a hand 'butter' as well in the form of Benny, lets me know when he's had enough of me. Absolutely gorgeous temperament, very laid back and placid but like to butt :(|)

I know what you mean about the strength! Pickles' head is like a battering ram when it comes to knocking over the barrier to stop them going into the study. She charges at it and runs forward until it falls over! I don't know how she doesn't get concussion :))

Matilda has been known to have the head of a bulldozer at times. If she wants to get somewhere then she just smashes down any obstructions. And there was me thinking that a peice of cardboard was a perfectly strong wall to hold back a piggy. How wrong I was.

I love beefy piggies. Peanut Butter the 6 month old baby at 500grams is finally changing from a tic tac shape to that lovely pear shape. Hazelnut at 15 months seems to have topped out at 1kg. He has a beautiful pear shape but I wish he was beefier. Hazelnut is the head butter but PB just puts his front left paw on my hand to push me away.

Gilbert's a very beefy guinea pig. First thing he does when I place him back in his cage is tear his way around the whole area, shoving everything over with his face and forcing his way through small areas.

He's got the biggest backside I've ever seen on a guinea pig too. xD

Me thinks it's also time to see Rocky and the gang again soon too............hint hint hint hint ;)

You're right tho........ piggies are very clever x)
