My guinea pigs, Peanut and Pebbles were getting along fine but a few days ago they suddenly started teeth chattering at each other. I sat beside there cage to make sure everything was alright and they weren't getting physical or anything they were just agitated with each other.

Later that day they started getting more aggressive and Peanut was cornering Pebbles. Pebbles panicked and tried to get away and he shoved Peanut to get to the other side of the cage. Peanut had a bite mark on his nose after that.

They're not really fighting anymore but they don't really get along like they used to. For example if one of them goes too close to the other one they both start teeth chattering.

I also noticed that Peanut's nose started to swell a bit or something and there was a tiny bit of blood underneath his right nostril.

Do you have any advice of what to do? Do I need to get peanut's checked by a vet? How do I get the guinea pigs to get along again or should I separate them?

I appreciate your help <3

Hi!

Please separate your boys and follow the advice in the links that @Swissgreys has given you.
The teenage boar guide is VERY detailed and precise; your boys are still in the thick of it and in one of the trickier phases. It will talk you through all your options with their pros and cons.

I would strongly recommend to disinfect Peanut's wounds with saline solution (which you can make at home in a pinch) and to have oit vet checked during regular opening hours.
