Hi all, one of my guinea pigs Geronimo almost constantly has a yellow pee soaked belly. Should I be concerned?

What bedding are they on? Does he pee and then sit in the same place? Someone will be along to help you.

Thank you! They're on fleece bedding (vet bed) with a layer of towels underneath. Yes, he tends to sleep, eat, poop and pee in the same spot.

Please have him checked out for a possible cystitis, especially if the urine is reather smelly. while some boars are dirtier than others, you still want to close out any medical angle in ongoing problems.

A boar bum bath won't hurt but use a larger basin that he cannot tip over.

If this is a new problem (ie he hasn’t always been like this) then I would get the vet to check him over to see if he’s got a bladder issue or maybe even arthritis or something that is stopping him from moving around so he doesn’t soak himself.

Thank you! I'll definitely do that asap.
